Pamela’s original plays have appeared at theatres throughout Atlanta, as well as in New York, California, Oregon, South Carolina, Germany, Guam, and Ireland. Recently her work was featured in the 2007 Chester Horn Festival in NYC; the 2006 Xperimental Puppetry Theatre Adult Series (Center for Puppetry Arts) in Atlanta; the 2006 Stage 3 Festival of Plays in Sonoma, California; the 2003 and the 2004 Piccolo Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, South Carolina; and the Cultural Olympiad of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. She has been commissioned to write plays for 7 Stages Theatre, (2009/2010 Season); Fly-by Theatre; and Theatre Gael.

Pamela has received numerous awards including “Outstanding Playwright” for the 2007 Chester Horn Festival, and winner of the 2006 American Theatre Coop Playwriting Competition and the 2001 Porter Fleming Award. She has been a place winner or finalist for the 2004 Heideman Award, the 2001 Paul Green Playwrights Prize, and the 2000 Porter Fleming Award. Current collaborations include a video theatre project with Cine-Majik-Design. Pamela was the featured playwright in the November 2004 issue of Insights for Playwrights. She is the Atlanta Regional Rep for The Dramatists Guild of America and the Artistic Director of multiShades.atlanta.


Pamela is the Contributing Features Editor for ShowGuide, a bi-monthly arts and entertainment magazine covering the Atlanta metropolitan area, and writes a regular column “The Atlanta Report” for The Dramatist, published by the Dramatists Guild of America. She has provided editing services for Good Life magazine and written articles for The Loop, Atlanta Theatre Weekly, Georgia Shakespeare Festival, and The Decatur Dispatch.


Pamela was the selected writer for the 2006 reading series “Playwrights and…” sponsored by Poets and Writers Magazine, featuring both dramatic writings and fiction. She has received awards for three of her poems, and her work is included in the play collection Bind them Continuously… (College of Charleston Press, 2000). A chapter of her theoretical writing appears in Hélène Cixous: Critical Impressions (Gordon and Breach, 1999).



Pamela is the Director of Theatre and Film for Ben Franklin Academy, where she provides training in theatre production and directs a three-show season. She teaches classes in theatre and playwriting for Emory University Center for Lifelong Learning, teaches the Kick-Ass Playwriting series for Working Title Playwrights, and conducts playwriting workshops throughout the U.S.


Pamela has served as a dramaturg for Georgia Shakespeare, the Academy Theatre, PlayWorks 2000, and for private clients throughout the U.S. She has also served as a script reader for The Alliance Theatre.
